As I created this painting, my thoughts were on many happy days spent in the hot and sandy resorts of Tunisia. Many years ago, this was our bolt hole from work in Libya, and we would go there to relax and unwind.

The colours bring back those happy memories - of warm sands, cool tiled floors and walls, and the beautiful turquoise waters of the Mediterranean,
The colourful markets full of spice merchants, the heady aromas of mint tea, men playing backgammon, intriguing cut screens. So much to remember.
